| We are having a
great time. I know looking at the yellow line you might be confused
that it is a white line. Let me tell you I was confused because there is
no white line. You apparently share the road with very very large
vehicles the size of which I have never seen before. You have to remember
that this tractor had one wheel completly off the road!!
Also as Jon and I were stopped at an intersection where we had not seen another car for hours a man pulled up in a Porsche and told us he was going to ride with his son from Oregon to Virginia in June. He just lived up the street and he couldn't stop smiling. I tried to assure him by the time he returned to VA he wouldn't be smiling but Jon distracted him. He will live in oblivion until that moment. I told Jon that there is a very good chance they will meet along the way and he may hold it against Jon that he didn't tell him how it will really be. I'm not exactly sure what kind of sign he is giving me but it must be a Virginia thing. By the way Jon and I have been discussing what the major economic force that keeps Virginia prosperous and we came to the conclusion that the CIA trains here. But the other major industry is the transportation of lawn mowers. Lawn mowers of all shapes and sizes. Big ones for hay and small ones for in front of your 40 acre yard. I didn't see a lot of Golf Courses but they had the equipment to keep them maintained. There must be some law that the Virginia Legislature passed not allowing you to use your lawn mower within 50 miles of your home. That is why lawn mowers are constantly clogging the highways and byways. I wouldn't be surprised if the strange equipment in the picture to the right isn't in some way a very very large lawnmower.
I of course got my picture taken with this lovely lady at a convenience store near Lake Anna. Her name was not Anna but it might have been if her dear mother had named her Anna. Non the less we had a nice visit and they only had one draw back in the convenience store and that they had not finished the bathrooms. Lucky for us there were lots of woods around. But let me tell you about the woods. There are thousands of tinny spiders who are working night and day to close the gaps between the trees with spider webs. The mosquitoes are not hatched yet but when they do these little spiders are going to have a field day. For me though it meant that I came out of the woods with thousands of sticky little spider strings attached to my body. I felt like spider man. I don't know if you can see this pot but the top is completely covered with spider webs. Kinda of spooky.
