Rampart to Jonas Creek

Jeff a fellow biker that we had met in Lake Louise caught up with us at Rampart campground.
We had a nice place to camp and got up early but still didn't get on the road till 9:00 AM.  We knew we had the last pass before Jasper, Sunwapta Pass at 6,676, 21 miles of over 3,000 feet.  This would definitely be our most difficult day.

Jeff stayed with us for the first several miles but he left us on the uphill.  He waited at the top and kind of road with us on and off.  The road was steep and steady but nothing we were not accustomed too.  We saw the road and road didn't scare us.

We were celebrities in our own right. People up the pass in their cars and RVs would come up and take our pictures and ask to be in a picture with us.  Some people were old, some were young but all seemed to be living a dream with us or they have had some adventure in their lives and want to share them with us.  Once we reached the top we found a visitors center and had lunch.  Then we rode our bikes up to the Columbia Glacier. Walked on the glacier with a number of tourist and we could see the snow busses taking paying visitors across the glaciers.
